Andrea + Adam // Iceland

I've been friends with Adam forever; Elementary school forever. I'm surprising myself as I'm writing this because I forgot how long I knew this guy. I've grown up with him, spent time in the Montana and Yellowstone wilderness, and have shared some of the most memorable experiences of my life with him and his brother.

Somewhere in all that growing up, Adam went to art school and had a residency in Colombia where he met Andrea. It's crazy because our circle growing up was pretty tight, and when I met her it felt like she grew up with all of us, immediately becoming friends with all of Adams friends, so I kinda knew right off the bat where this was going.

Sure enough the day came and it happened to fall on a date that I was already committed to shooting a clients wedding. Not only did I feel like a loser for not being able to be his wedding photographer, but I've also have never been a guest at a wedding so it was a double let-down. This isn’t the only time this has happened. Theres a lot of commitment involved in shooting weddings.

Adam and I are always talking about traveling and some crazy ideas. This trip spawned from a few words like “lets go to Iceland” and that was it. A few weeks later in November it was booked and then the waiting game until June.

June came and we drove over a thousand miles 7 days,  camped and hiked all over the west and southern coast of Iceland; adventuring and making up for some wedding photography that I wasn’t there for. This is the tip of the Iceberg and words cannot describe how beautiful this country is, from the tops of the mountains, to the people that live there.

Although I love New Jersey, it's great to get away. I would be honored to photographed theses two in any destination, especially Iceland.
